Course overview
This agriculture course is aimed at those who have some experience of practical farming. It has elements of both plant and animal science, animal husbandry, machinery and environmental aspects through estate skills, which shows the wide range of knowledge needed to work within a farming business.
You will take part in a mixture of practical and classroom teaching.
As part of the course there is a compulsory work experience element which will help develop skills and improve employment within the land-based industry.
As part of the programme, learners will also complete numeracy and literacy essential skill qualifications. Opportunities will also be provided for GCSEs in English and maths, which will be essential to continue onto level three.
