Course overview
This course has a mixture of practical and theory lessons and is delivered making use of the excellent Agricultural facilities including land for arable use, our sheep flock, beef herd and workshops. Students are able to access a range of additional learning support, based on need and are well supported through the use of virtual learning resources.

A range of employability skills will be developed whilst on the course including practical skills, communication, and land-based environmental specific knowledge, and development of ICT skills. Students will also get the opportunity to carry out work experience on external placements. Units covered may include: Farm Livestock Husbandry, Estate Skills, Plant and Soil Science among others.

On completion of this qualification you will be provided with the opportunity to apply for the second year, topping your course up to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. Upon successful completion of the Extended Diploma (second year) you will be able to progress onto an Apprenticeship or a higher qualification including a HND or a BSc (Hons) Agriculture at Hadlow College
