What You Will Study
Our one-day tree survey and inspection course will enable you to identify hazardous trees, determine the level of risk, and decide on an appropriate course of action.
This Lantra accredited course is suitable for a wide range of people, whether you are employed as a local authority highway inspector, or work in the forestry, woodland, or arboriculture sector.
The course will cover the following:
The legal and safety implications of hazardous trees
Maintaining your own health and safety while carrying out a basic tree survey and inspection
Recognising hazardous trees
Determining level of risk
How to decide on an appropriate course of action
How to collect and maintain adequate information
Although this course is mostly classroom based, you will be expected to be able to look at a range of trees outside.
