Course overview
This one-day course aims to prepare participants for the NPTC Certificate of Competence in the ‘Safe Use of Pesticides’ qualification. The course also includes assessment, to be arranged on a separate day.The course will cover:
Development of knowledge and understanding of current legislationApplying pesticides safely with a field crop sprayer fitted with nozzlesIdentifying and selecting attachments, preparing machinery and calibratingOperating equipment and conforming with current legislation/codes of practiceDisposal of unwanted pesticides/containers and cleaning equipmentIdentifying faults and conditions when spraying is not advisable and may cause harm to oneself/others
