Course overview
Learn the basics of animal nursing in this one-year course covering health, husbandry and nutrition. This course offers a blended learning approach, so you’ll build skills through a mixture of hands-on tasks (at your designated placement) together with theory lessons delivered online via Microsoft Teams by your designated Askham Bryan tutor. For any practical tasks you are unable to complete at your placement, we have a facility at our dedicated animal learning centre – which includes a fully-equipped mock vet practice – to help you complete these with an expert tutor. Typically, students studying this course progress onto the Level 3 Diploma Veterinary Nursing course (VetSkill).
