What you will learn

The Cert HE Agriculture, programme follows the structure of the first year of the FdSc Agriculture programme but provides students with greater flexibility to work in farming or the wider agricultural industry, while continuing to build their understanding of the technical and managerial aspects of productions systems and farming.

The programme, which uses the hybrid approach to delivery reduces the time required to be set-aside from work to one day a week across 2 years for each 24-week academic year which runs from September to May. This provides the opportunity to combine what is learnt through study with experience gained in the workplace, while building an increasing network of contacts both on the course and across the agricultural industry.

The online, in-industry and onsite, hybrid approach to learning makes it accessible to anyone, those wanting to start in the industry and develop of their careers as they progress into technical or managerial roles or those wanting to improve their level of knowledge through continual professional development after being out in the agricultural industry.
