Course overview
This LANTRA run training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and skills in the operation of petrol driven chainsaws required for felling of trees up to 380 mm in diameter. It introduces trainees to the hazards and risks involved with operating a chainsaw and to comply with health and safety legislation. The length of training is three days which covers practical elements in woodland sites with a half day assessment taken on a 4th day, usually on the Monday or Tuesday of the following week. We provide LANTRA course materials & Certification followed by City & Guilds NPTC Qualification.We recommend refresher training be undertaken every 3-5 years.
