Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-Cutting & Felling of Trees up to 380mm diameter
Course overview
This LANTRA run training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in the operation and maintenance of petrol driven chainsaws along with the skills required for felling of trees up to 380 mm in diameter. It introduces trainees to the hazards and risks involved with operating a chainsaw and to comply with health and safety legislation. The length of training is five days which covers a mix of both theory, workshop and practical elements with a half day City & Guilds NPTC assessment taken on a 6th day, usually on the Monday or Tuesday of the following week. We provide LANTRA course materials & Certification followed by City & Guilds NPTC Qualification.We recommend refresher training be undertaken every 3-5 years.
