Course overview
This is an Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) course, registered with Lantra. The course can be run with a excavator above or below ten tonnes.The course will cover plant safety and the law, hazard identification, machinery knowledge and preparing the machine for work, travelling and manoeuvring the machine, machine operations.During the course, learners will prepare the machine and bucket to excavate, demonstrate how to attached and remove different types of buckets and ancillaries safely, perform excavations in various soil types.We typically offer three course lengths for excavatorsNovice – This is a five day courseSome experience – This is a three day course (candidates who have driven on an occasional basis, but have not had a certificate).Experienced – This is a two day course (candidates who have driven on an regular basis, but have not had a certificate).
