Level 2 in Equine Care with Forgework

Farriery is the shoeing of horses and similar animals. A farrier is a skilled craftsperson who is able to make shoes for all types of horses’ feet according to the needs and welfare of the animal. This course provides the knowledge and skills required to progress to a farriery apprenticeship. This programme at CAFRE Enniskillen Campus includes both a Level 2 Technical Certificate in Horse Care and a Level 2 Certificate in Forgework. The course is full-time and runs for one academic year.
