Course overview
FAC - This course is designed to help those who want to go on to gain a Farriery Apprenticeship by developing their forging, horse anatomy, shoemaking and other skills needed to be useful to an Approved Training Farrier (ATF). This is a one-year, full time course, where you spend four days a week at College. A block of 2 weeks industrial experience with an ATF is included.
Blacksmithing - This course is designed to help those who want to go on to gain a good grounding or to develop their forging and other skills needed to become a blacksmith or help gain entry on to the blacksmithing apprenticeship. This one-year, full time course, where you spend four days a week at College. A block of 2 weeks industrial experience is included.
