Course overview
Taught at our specialist Taylor Hill Animal Centre, the Practical Animal Care Skills Level 3 course is designed to equip you with the hands-on skills necessary to care for a range of animals. You will complete a range of modules that cover caring for, handling and treating animals to meet their complex needs.
Our Taylor Hill Animal Centre has a brand-new Reptile and Aquatics Centre, aviary, small mammal house, and mini farm filled with species from across the world! All your learning will be hands-on and you will get to know all the animals as you grow and develop your practical animal care skills.
You will learn how to plan appropriate animal handling and ensure the safety of animals during movement control. You will also learn about animal diets and how to monitor and evaluate the feeding of animals.
This course is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in animal care and wants to gain a thorough understanding of caring for a range of species.
