Rural Property Management (PgC / PgD)

Harper Adams University, Shropshire
Course overview
The aims of the course are to provide students with specialised training in rural land and estate management. Specifically, the courses will prepare students for a career as in rural land and property management and offer professional and technical training to that end. Both academic studies and the vocational nature of the course in preparing students for a particular profession are enhanced by the close links of Harper Adams and the land management course team with industry.

The 4 module PgC programme and the 8 module PgD programme choose from the same module suite as the Master's courses in Rural Estate and Land Management. The shorter, non-RICS accredited options are typically taken by:

  • Chartered surveyors who qualified in a non-rural discipline and want to gain rural expertise

  • Rural surveyors returning after an extended career break or time working outside the rural sector

  • AssocRICS qualified professionals who are seeking to become chartered surveyors and need further educational credits

  • On a case by case basis, students who do not have the entry requirements for the Master's courses may be offered a place on the Postgraduate Certificate course with a view to transferring to Master's on successful completion.
