This course covers the safe driving of a tractor, pre-use maintenance and safety checks, and recognition of controls and instruments.

The course will cover:

Identifying any hazard specific to the site, task and machine

Identifying and explaining functions of all instruments and controls on the machine

Carrying out daily pre-use checks on the tractor

Demonstrating knowledge of precautions to be observed when driving with heavily loaded trailers and implements

Mounting vehicle, carrying out safety checks and starting engine
