Course overview
To enable course members to:• attach a mounted front end loader• attach a bucket, muck fork and pallet forks etc to the loader• use the loader correctly and organising working area for efficient operations• leave unattached implements in a safe stateThe use of the instruction book is stressed at all times to ensure maintenance and adjustments are carried out to manufacturer’s recommendations.• Tractor drivers with limited or no experience of the operation of a front end loader.Duration/Format• One day (the duration will depend upon the number and standard of the trainees and the complexity of the machinery involved.NVQ/SVQ Linkage Contributes knowledge towards units where tractors are used, eg 'Transport Mechanically' and 'Establish Crop by Mechanical Means' at levels 1, 2 & 3 in Production NVQs/SVQs 'Crop and Livestock', Mechanised Field Crop' and 'Fruit Crop'. Also contributes towards NVQ level 2 and SVQ levels 2 and 3 in 'Estate Maintenance'.
