What You Will Study
This course covers the legal requirement and responsibilities necessary in animal and poultry health and welfare during transport. It covers how to effectively plan and implement the transport of animal and poultry, vehicle requirements, how to check animals for fitness to travel, identify causes and signs of stress, handling and welfare in transit and space, stocking densities and segregation requirements.
The price of the course is for training and one category of animal (poultry) for NPTC Assessment. If more than one category required, we will charge an additional payment of £65 per category. Short journeys are based on over 65km and up to eight hours duration.
Course training is 9am to 1pm, followed by the NPTC Computer-Based Assessment from 1.15pm to 2.15pm.
