Description:

The qualification will provide a full working knowledge of commercial products and application equipment to be able to plan, implement and monitor a control programme appropriate to the situation using efficient and safe methods with regard to the environment.

On completion of the qualification you will be able to recognise the symptoms of phosphine poisoning, be able to apply technical and operational controls to avoid exposure, be able to identify target animals and undertake a survey to determine their presence, interpret product labels, know how to apply a treatment safely and effectively and retain appropriate records.

The qualification is ideal for pest control operatives, game keepers, and people working in agriculture, horticulture and conservation. On completion of the qualification you will receive a certificate of completion for the Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control.
