We are recruiting an experienced outdoor Assistant Pig Manager for a farm in Oxfordshire, OX13.
Our client is an outdoor pig farming enterprise operating multiple sites producing 8kg weaners on a batch system to a high welfare standard.
The assistant manager will support the manager on a day-to-day basis with all activities related to an outdoor unit, expanding up to 1200 sows and utilising a three-week batch farrowing-to-weaning system.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
Excellent all-round experience in all aspects of pig husbandry
Team player and leadership abilities to work closely with other members of the team
Attention to detail is required to ensure the efficient running of the farm
High welfare standards at all times
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 DOE
