Calf rearer job in scotland

assistant calf rearer required south west scotland

as a calf rearer you will be joining the existing team in calf care and development. looking after 2000 calves a year.

there will be times you will be needed to support with other farm duties and milking.

main roles will be

- feeding,dehorning, vaccinating and administration of medicines when needed.

- help maintaining records and reporting to senior management with any issues.

- keeping calf house tidy and clean.

- washing pens between batches.

- milking in a 70-point rotary if required.

- working every 2nd weekend.

- have a passion for cow and calf welfare.

- ability to check cows calving and help do colostrum management.
