the role

•responsible for day to day management of herd

•part of morning milking routine

•leading the milking team milking prep, parlour cleanliness

•identifying lame / mastitis cows

•assist with weekly foot trimming, vet routines, drying off

•oversee calving cows and transition cows

•working as part of a team and becoming a part of a strong team culture on the farm

•identifying sick cows through collar technology and treating accordingly

•work alongside farm manager

•650 cow herd. high welfare, high yielding system

•calving ayr, housed ayr

•based near haverfordwest, pembrokeshire

•milking 3 times a day
