Experienced Beef Suckler Herd Manager job - Fife, Scotland

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a well-established farming business. We are seeking an experienced stockperson to take a leading role managing a 350-head Aberdeen Angus suckler herd on a farm near Kirriemuir.

The successful candidate will be confident running the herd independently while also working collaboratively as part of a wider team when required and also managing the day to day duties of an assistant. Although you will work closely with management on key decisions, you will have the autonomy to manage the herd day-to-day in line with best practice and the overall farming system.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

•Proven experience in cattle management and all aspects of general animal husbandry.

•Calving experience is essential.

•Competent in operating loader tractors/telescopic handlers (feeding, bedding, mucking out, etc.).

•Strong grassland management skills.

•Ability to maintain accurate herd records.

•Machinery maintenance knowledge beneficial.
