Location
we are looking for a pro-active, trust-worthy and hard-working individual with a real passion for livestock. we are a mixed family farm outside canterbury, kent with pedigree sussex cattle, romney x ewes, arable, potatoes, top fruit and pumpkins. the position would be a varied role supporting the various farm enterprises, with routine livestock work including some weekends.
-assisting with the general feeding, husbandry and care of the herd and flock.
-general tractor driving including trailer work, cultivations, forage and potato harvests.
-management and upkeep of grassland including topping, harrowing, and seeding.
-use of telescopic handler and atv.
-general farm maintenance and maintenance of machinery, vehicles, trailers and implements.
-additional working hours during busy periods and some routine weekend livestock work
