Applied Bacterial Control (ABC) provide water hygiene and gut health systems and products to the farming industry that support and improve livestock health, welfare and performance. As an innovative business however, what we offer continues to evolve. Our team work with farmers to provide tailored gut health and water hygiene programmes, using the right combination of ABC systems and products. We also work closely with veterinary teams to support the relevant aspects of their health plans.
As Field Support Technician, your role will be primarily to support our existing customers (currently mostly poultry producers) and continue to provide an excellent level of service. This involves a combination of work at customer sites and at our office in Wem. There will be full training and ongoing support however the focus of the role will be to:
• Provide maintenance support to on-farm systems – this will include minor repairs and services
• Carry out water sampling and testing – to monitor the results and performance of the products and systems
• Advice and guide customers in the management of their systems
• Arrange customer site visits and provide visit reports
• Provide support over the phone and email
• Record customer information/data on the ABC client record system
• Deliver products to clients
We’re open to whether you’re someone with experience in a similar role or are looking to start a career in the industry, however a background in farming or agriculture is preferred. You’ll enjoy working clients and be good at organising your time, as our clients are based around the UK, and therefore the occasional overnight stay away from our Shropshire base might be required. A driver’s license is essential however a company vehicle and phone will be provided, amongst other benefits. There’s a competitive salary on offer too, that is dependent on experience.
