Forward thinking general farm worker job - oxfordshire

500-acre mixed farm in the chilterns. we grow low-input arable crops and manage grassland supporting a suckler herd and sheep flock, with breeding pigs coming soon. we aim to do everything in house, including combining, and focus on low-input, sustainable farming using biology rather than chemistry to produce healthy food.

we are looking for a practical and enthusiastic person to join the team full time. the role is very varied and can be shaped around the right individual.

likely working pattern:

• five days per week

• every other weekend required

• extra hours during busy periods

the role will include:

• livestock husbandry

• tractor and machinery work

• general farm maintenance

• woodland work

• supporting new farm enterprises

we are looking for someone who:

• is practical and keen to learn

• has an interest in sustainable farming

• has some farm or machinery experience (helpful but not essential)

• can travel to the farm independently
