our free-range chicken farm, supplies high quality table ready chickens to butchers and farm shops around the uk. we are now looking for a general stockperson.
description
assist in the production of free-range table birds from day old, brood and move to final depopulation.
1)daily stock checks of chicken ensuring
a.good health and welfare
b.correct environment for the stock
2)bedding up
3)feeding out
4)washing & cleaning sheds
5)preparing sheds
6)driving farm machinery
experience
farm experience is preferred but not essential.
correct attitude (positive and enthusiastic) is essential, as well as desire to work outside, and work as a team.
training will be provided.
hours
50 hours a week, alternative weekends, as well as an involvement via a rota on catching duties.
the role is permanent and available immediately.
remuneration
•£31,800 pa
•28 days holiday a year (+1 day for every year worked with us, for up to 5 years)
•accommodation in the form of a mobile home can be provided.
