We require an enthusiastic and experienced herds-person to help run all elements of
a modern and progressive dairy farm near Cirencester, which has supplied a
premium retail contract for 26 years.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Work alongside the enthusiastic farmer running the herd day to day
• Milking
• Oversee calf and young stock rearing
• Record keeping on Uniform
• Cow health and animal welfare
The herd comprises of 225 high yielding pedigree Holsteins, producing 12,500 litres
sold per cow per year, with very good health and fertility KPIs. The dairy has modern
cow housing and new machinery, making this a very efficient farm with excellent
working conditions.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working with similar herd,
be able to think for themselves, and work very closely with the farmer, the vets, and
AI technicians.
