an opportunity has arisen for a herdsperson on a well invested dairy/arable unit in north east wales, covering 1000 acres.

the housed herd of 550 holstein cows are milked 2x per day through a 48;48 90 degree delaval parlour, with adf . this is a hands on roll, working as part of a friendly team including the owners, vet, rms technicians and other staff members. the successful candidate must be self-motivated with a keen stockmans eye. attention to detail and a tidy approach to working is required. computer literacy is necessary for record keeping & monitoring performance using uniform agri, which is the farms herd management programme. training can be provided as required.
