We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic individual to join a small friendly team on our family farm near thirsk, north yorkshire.

- 130 cows + followers + store cattle.

- lely robotic milkers with grazing, robotic slurry scraper and robotic silage pusher

- new calf shed

- all year round calving, except christmas

- forward thinking business committed to continual improvement.

Candidates must

- have previous experience of dairy farming

- have a full driving license

- ideally be able to diy ai and hoof trim, although training can be provided.

We sell our milk via arla welfare pro + grazing contract. therefore high standards are to be maintained and where possible improved.

The successful candidate will

- be responsible for the day to day management and care of the dairy herd

- maintaining high standards of animal welfare and cleanliness

- achieve successful ai results

- plan for and meet all necessary hygiene standards

- assist with profitably increasing production

- basic maintenance of robots and dairy hygiene

- rear calves and youngstock
