Livestock Manager required to join our expanding beef enterprise to manage all the cattle from calves through to the start of finishing. This is a hands on role to manage a team of three with the day to day and week to week running of the beef enterprise. You'd work closely with my self (co owner and director) and our Vets to put weekly, monthly and annual work plans and standard operating procedures in place for you and the team to follow. You'd be responsible for the youngstock team, cattle, cattle record keeping, fencing and the stocks of vet & meds and feed.
H***** & Co Farming is a family based farm, mixed farming 2000Ha and finishing 2000 Angus/Hereford dairy crosses a year off a regen, predominantly outdoor forage based system. 3 month old calves arrive in May & June to be grazed on herbal leys and creep fed through the first summer. They're outwintered on forage crops and fodder beet, have a second summer rotationally grazing herbal leys before indoor finishing on a TMR by an average of 21 months old supplying Dovecote Park and Grassroots farming. Newly fenced field infrastructure, brand new handling yards, silage clamps and finishing facilities. High herd health with a regenerative approach to mixed farming to better look after our soils, animals, crops and most importantly our team.
