Tractor driver & site operatives job - hampshire & south of england

purpose of role:

this is a hands on role that will provide site-based support to ensure the successful delivery of sports pitch construction and landscape projects across the south of england.

main duties:

tractor driving - trenching, cultivations, levelling, grading, sand dressing, top dressing, etc.

operating plant - digger, dumper, roller and telehandler

general labouring

transporting materials, plant, machinery and equipment to site

turfing - big and small rolls

key projects for spring / summer 2026:

sports pitch construction and reinstatement in hampshire - trenching, drainage, cultivations, levelling, seeding

extensive sports pitch drainage works in winchester and bordon, hampshire

dig out and reinstatement works at chelsea flower show - tractor, excavator, dumper, roller, telehandler and hand work

construction of fine turf lawns for croquet and tennis

agricultural drainage

key skills:

technically competent with plant, tractors, trenchers, machinery, small tools and specialist equipment

ability to communicate in a positive manner with staff, sub-contractors and clients

physically fit and able to work alongside site-based team

understanding of site-based construction activities

clean driving licence

ability to tow plant and standard trailers would be an advantage

understanding of sports turf construction and maintenance

adherence to health & safety procedures

basic computer skills

willingness to stay away as required

general:

immediate start

full time or part time considered
