Working arable farm manager job - north yorkshire

we are seeking a practical, forward-thinking working arable farm manager to lead the arable department at c******** farms, a 2,500-acre mixed dairy and arable enterprise in north yorkshire. you will take full responsibility for the planning, establishment, management and harvest of a seven-year rotation including cereals, oilseed rape and winter beans. using gps technology, you will help drive high-output, low-input crop production while supporting our approach of focused on soil health, minimal disturbance, diverse cropping and livestock integration.

this is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, clear communication and the ability to motivate and work alongside a small team. you will plan seasonal workloads, manage staff and contractors, oversee machinery maintenance, crop walk with the agronomist, and coordinate closely with the dairy department to ensure smooth integration across the business. the successful candidate will uphold high standards of safety, tidiness and professionalism, maintain infrastructure and stewardship commitments, and foster positive relationships with neighbours and the wider estate all while building a motivated team that takes pride in producing resilient crops from healthy soils.
