'Enriching farmers with knowledge imperative'

Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha today called for enriching knowledge of farmers on latest farming and transferring Agri-research to the fields for optimum productivity.

General Sinha was addressing farmers and agriculture scientists after inaugurating the main faculty building of faculty of agriculture in the Chatta campus of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology this morning.

The Governor said that sustained research in the field of agriculture and hard toil of farmers had steered India from food deficit to food surplus country.
