126 sheep stolen from farm in Bury, Greater Manchester
Up to 126 sheep and two rams have reportedly been stolen from a farm in Greater Manchester. It is believed the incident happened between the days of November 21st and December 6th from the farm on Pilsworth Road in Prestwich, Bury.
Thieves cut through a barbed wire fence to herd the animals into a waiting vehicle.
Officers at GMP Whitefield posted on their Facebook site this morning: “126 sheep and 2 rams have been stolen from Whitefield. Please look out at nativity plays."
Speaking after the incident, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Do you have any information?
"Please keep a look out for these animals being sold, and report anything you believe to be suspicious to 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.”
No description of the offenders has been given.
