25-knife baler for UK

GALLIGNANI fixed chamber balers available from UK importer Reco now include a version with a 25-knife cutting unit, with each knife having individual load protection.

The Profi 3300, which produces bales 120cm wide and 125cm in diameter, has been designed for silage operations, but is claimed to be equally effective in straw and hay conservation.

Ribbed steel rollers in the front section of the bale chamber are claimed to give the density more normally associated with roller balers, while a chain and bar arrangement in the tailgate section helps to ensure bale rotation in dry conditions.

Features include an automatic lubrication system which oils chains and sprockets each time the tailgate is lifted to eject a bale, a twin net and twine system, and twin drive systems, one for bale forming and one for the cutting unit.

Prices have yet to be announced.
