Twenty-six beehives are thought to have been deliberately set on fire in what Kent police are describing as a 'suspicious' attack.
Dozens of bees have been killed in the fires on a farm in Sellindge, Kent. Some hives have also been stolen in separate attacks.
Beekeepers and landowners are being urged to up their security as suspicion grows around the area.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the fire and have linked the thefts to the fire.
The police said the fires and thefts occurred between 11 and 14 June.
PC Daniel Mills from Kent Police said: "This damage is not only cruel but detrimental to the beekeepers who will suffer a financial loss."
