A stampede for rural show
Cattle and sheep will be back at this year’s Countryside Live, having been banned from the North Yorkshire event last year because of foot and mouth restrictions.
Organisers report entries have been coming in strongly for livestock classes, as well as all the other competitive sections at the two-day event at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, starting on Saturday, October 25.
There is even a waiting list in the cattle section because of the high number of entries, which will feature 168 cattle competing in various classes. Sheep entries stand at 184 and counting.
