Farmers seeking business inspiration at the Royal Welsh Show should pay a visit to Lloyds TSB Agriculture’s stand on the Monday, when the bank’s farming ambassador Adam Henson will be sharing his progressive ideas on the future for British agriculture.

Best known as a presenter on the BBC’s Countryfile and Lambing Live television programmes, Mr Henson is first and foremost a farmer, running a 650 hectare mixed farming operation in the Cotswolds with his business partner Duncan Andrews.

"For me, farming is the best job in the world, and I believe the industry is ripe with opportunities for young and ambitious people that want to develop a business for themselves, and not least in a distinctive region like Wales," he said ahead of the event. "It is important, however, to have a clear business plan and to seek professional advice and assistance as necessary. None of us can do it all alone, particularly in the modern age where everything from using the best technology to developing a brand could be integral to the success of a farming business."

In his role as Lloyds TSB Agriculture’s farming ambassador, Adam Henson is working closely with the bank to promote a better understanding of financial and environmental sustainability in a farm business context. He will be available to meet farmers on the Lloyds TSB stand at the Royal Welsh Show at various times during the day on Monday 18th July.
