BRITISH TROOPS LOSE THEIR TURKEY’S.

British servicemen and women serving in Afghanistan, had their Xmas meat rations blown up by the Taliban on Thursday, en-route from Pakistan to their base.

The load of meat had enough food for 3,000 troops, to enjoy a traditional Xmas lunch.

Regimental catering, Warrant Officer Nick Townley, said "Unfortunately one of our Xmas wagons got hit, so a fresh batch of turkeys had to be flown out".

The officer is in charge of the Xmas menu and organizing the lunch, where it is military tradition at Xmas, for the officers to wait on the men, as a token of gratitude for their service over the year.
