Aggreko wins Scottish PLC of the Year

Aggreko has won the prestigious "Scottish Plc of the Year Award" at the Scottish plc Award ceremony in Glasgow. The awards and dinner were hosted by Scottish Business Insider and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the judges included prominent business leaders, Susan Rice CBE, from Lloyds Banking Group and Crawford Gillies from Scottish Enterprise amongst others.

Aggreko provides 24/7 availability and service support with approximately 3500 employees operating from over 133 locations. In 2008 we served customers in over 100 countries, and had revenues of approximately £950m (€1.2b). Aggreko plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AGK.L) and headquartered in Scotland.

Accepting the awards on behalf of Aggreko, Rupert Soames commented: "We are delighted to have been chosen by the judging panel for this prestigious award."

The Scottish plc Awards were launched in 1999 by Scottish Business Insider and PricewaterhouseCoopers to recognise and reward the achievements at home and abroad of Scottish quoted companies. The awards are made on the basis of rigorous research by the University of Strathclyde Business School who study a wide range of evidence and make recommendations to the judging panel.
