Agrovista launches fruit division
Agrovista UK Ltd, the leading agronomy specialist, crop protection and amenity product distributor has announced the formation of a national fruit advisory and supply division with the first four appointments. The new fruit team will cover the whole of the UK, fitting in with the existing Agrovista distribution network.
The division will be led by Mike Stoker, who will be Team Sales Manager reporting to Charles Coslett, Southern Regional Director. Mike's previous role was National Sales Leader for fruit nutrition products for Yara Phosyn and will continue to be based in Kent. Also joining the team is Paul Bennett from FAST (Farm Advisory Services Team) and he will also be based in Kent. James Dick will be based in the Midlands and joins Agrovista from Solufeed. The fourth member is Gavin Mutch who will be based in Perth, up until joining Agrovista, Gavin has been in soft fruit production and previously with FAST.
Managing Director, James Robertson comments "The formation of this new service is part of our five-year strategic plan for the business. It will run alongside our rapidly expanding field vegetable advice and supply division and compliment the other parts of Agrovista, which are Agriculture, Amenity and Professional Business Services."
Agrovista are continuing to expand this new venture and will be announcing further appointments in due course. The company is seeking to develop and exploit business synergies, both within the UK with other divisions, but also with its world-wide links through parent company, Marubeni.
Mr Coslett adds "The Agrovista fruit business is seeking to be different from the existing supply chain and will be concentrating on the supply of innovative advice and growing techniques being developed by the team and also within the Marubeni Group, particularly Holland and the United States."
