AHDB finance director appointed

Chris Goodwin has been appointed Director of Finance and Business Services at the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) with effect from Today, Monday 28 February 2011.

Tom Taylor, AHDB Chief Executive said: "I am delighted we have such an experienced Finance Director, who also has knowledge of this industry, joining our senior management team".

Chris, a Chartered Certified Accountant, has previously been Finance Director and CEO for Associa Ltd, the National Farmers Union’s publishing, subscription and database, call centre and research service to its membership, until Associa was taken in-house by the NFU in 2010. He has also been European Group Finance Director for Standard Motor Products Ltd which operated in a similar Divisional structure to AHDB.

In both finance director and general management roles, Chris brings over 15 years’ experience at Board level in a number of industries, and has overseen strategic expansion plans, re-organisations, cost reduction programmes and managed a number of acquisitions and mergers.
