AIC embrace new ally

The Agricultural Industries Confederation continues its aim to collaborate the food chain by welcoming a new member to its association.

The Agricultural Lime Association (ALA) is the first affiliate member to join the Agricultural Industries Confederation.

The ALA is a trade association for producers of quarried agricultural lime in the UK. While ineligible to join as full members, the association supports AIC's goal to unite the food chain means supporting and working closely with all areas of the supply industry.

The ALA has no hesitation in forging an alliance with AIC as bringing together agricultural knowledge will benefit the whole food supply chain.

Speaking about the new relationship, Stephen Hill, chairman of the ALA explained, "The affiliation of the Agricultural Lime Association to the Agricultural Industries Confederation is a logical progression for the UK's natural lime producing companies. Their principle aim is the promotion of correct soil management linked to the use of quality natural quarried products to achieve optimum soil conditions as a foundation for efficient crop production."
