Alltech recruit new ruminant specialist

Mark Townsend joins Alltech as regional Ruminant Specialist for the South of England, where he will be supporting customers from the south east across to the south west continuing to strengthen links between Alltech, farmers and the feed industry.

"I will be working closely with both farmers and the feed industry," says Mark, "promoting Alltech’s natural science based feed products and solutions. By discussing farmers’ needs and issues I can then communicate ideas and solutions to the feed industry stimulating the continual improvements demanded by today’s high performance livestock."

Mark joins with over 20 years of experience in livestock nutrition gained from many years as a senior dairy consultant with Promar and a number of feed supplement and buying roles across the industry.

A graduate of Somerset College of Agriculture and Horticulture, Mark believes strongly in Alltech’s extensive range of animal feed supplements – all based on yeast, fermentation and natural enzyme technology - and their proven ability to improve animal nutrition, health and performance.
