Argentina-Government blamed for poor beef exports.
ARGENTINA.
BUREAUCRACY HAMPERING EXPORTS.
The government office responsible for exports and statistics ONCCA, is causing delays in export permissions on beef and grains.
The has been permission granted to export 45,000 tons of beef in December, however very little has been cleared at this stage.
The situation on the grain exports seems to be more serious, with the government claiming US$1.7 billion in back taxes.
The farm groups are all on holiday this month, a meeting has been requested with the new Minister of Agriculture by the four main farming groups..
