ARGENTINA-NEW LAWS FOR MEAT EXPORTERS.

Argentina ’s Domestic Commerce Secretary is asking the leading beef exporters to provide a list of their customers and contact information, raising the hackles of companies wary of handing over confidential trade information. Guillermo Moreno sent an email to beef exporters on Wednesday asking that they provide the company, contact, telephone number, address and email of their overseas buyers. "This is valuable trade secret information," said the director of one of the country’s leading beef exporters. But the companies are wary of angering Moreno , who has repeatedly intervened in beef markets in recent years, shutting down exports when domestic prices rise.
