Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health(OIE) gave a written report to Bernard Vallet the Director General of OIE, saying in his report that, "In many countries traceability of live domestic animals and of products of animal origin is a legal requirement, however product traceability from the farm to the fork, must be implemented Worldwide".

The OIE is planning to organize an International Conference on Animal Identification in Buenos Aires Argentina, from March 17 th to Match 19th 2009.
