FIRE AT RURAL SOCIETY IN CORDOBA.

Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo said on Thursday night, he had no doubts that the fire at the Rural Showground in

Argentina’s second city Cordoba yesterday was an attack against the government.

His reasoning was that Trade Minister Guillermo Moreno met with farm leaders there two days ago.

He went on to say, "Those who started the fire are intolerant misfits, who are angry because the Rural Society was happy withy the outcome of the meeting".

The fire started at 4 am on Thursday morning and left the very old site just a mass of melted steel and ash

The farmers and the government are on a collision course it seems.

Meanwhile President Christine Fernandez de Kirchner, stopped off in Caracas yesterday on her way home from Cuba.

She has again signed numerous trade deals with her counterpart Hugo Chevez, including more on the oil for beef agreement.
