Argentna-President speaks to farmers.
ARGENTINA- CONGRESS TOLD ABOUT FARMERS.
President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner once again lashed out at the farmers of Argentina on Sunday, this time in her speech before Congress that was televised live to the nation.
Fernandez made a passionate defense of the economic accomplishments of her government and speaking without any notes the President gave her account of the global recession.
She reaffirmed that at the G20 conference she was going to propose reform on the international financial system among other things.
She mentioned the money laundering allegations from the CIA and was quick to point out that the Director of the CIA has apologized for his remarks in person.
The President said that the farm sector was the only one rich enough to be in a position to hoard stocks of grain worth billions of dollars, while crying poverty.
Talking about the nationalization of grain, Justice Minister Anibal Fernandez, said that the reports were cheap speculation from the media, that had been influenced by the United States covert operatives in Argentina.
The Presidents speech was harshly criticized by the neo conservative opposition, however factually the Presidents remarks had to be conceded as being correct, despite her omissions.
The farmers are Meeting on Tuesday to discuss the latest in their campaign of protests.
