Australia-Wine Duties cut by 50% to help farmers.

ARGENTINA-WINE DUTIES CUT 50%.

President Christine Fernandez se Kirchner on Saturday announced 50% cut in the export duties on wine, and signed a decree that has signed over US$50 million to help small and medium farmers.

There is to be a government financed advertising campaign for Argentine wine overseas especially to the markets of Europe.

Argentina is the largest wine producer in the southern hemisphere, however 80% on the wine produced is consumed on the domestic market.

Should this and the proposed farm accord work out well. The President leaves herself in a strong political position and the opposition in tatters.


Strong signals have been sent to the embassy of the United States, for the CIA to keep their nose out of Argentine politics, as their involvement in the farm dispute has been found out in Buenos Aires.
