MEAT CONSUMPTION UP.

Bahrain Livestock Company who import live sheep from Australia, have reached full capacity at their abattoir, which supplies 443 retail butchers shops.

Meat consumption in the oil rich nation, has gone up a staggering 43 % in the last year.

Delmon Poultry Company in Bahrain, reports a similar surge in poultry meat, more so in recent months as there is not sufficient mutton and lamb available for the market needs.

Bahrain has increased live exports from Australia, more than any other country in the Middle East.


Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, have now acquired a taste for fresh and chilled beef which has caused a natural decline in mutton requirements.
